-The Joseph Leadership-

 

Date: 09/10/2023 These were some of the names that were used in the Revolutionary War era as I searched the appeal to heaven flag. Joseph Reed was a founding father of the United States. He was a lawyer, military officer and statesman of the American Revolutionary Era. While doing some research on October 20th in the year of 1775, Reed wrote a letter to John Clover quote, "What do you think of a flag with a white ground, a tree in the middle and matto: Appeal to Heaven." There is a Christian artist named Brandon Lake who will be releasing his 'album' that is expected this month on October 20, 2023. Did you catch it yet? The dates of October 20, 1775 and the date October 20, 2023 are on the same day!!!! Different year of course, but the same day. I believe God is calling forth the Joseph mantle in this hour of leadership for His people. If you have not read lately the story about Joseph I highly encourage it. This story is found in the book of Genesis. And the name Joseph means= Jehovah Shall Add. Joseph was raised up in a time of famine to help the people and lead in governance of a land who prepared to help the people. I think of the land Goshen. The word says in Genesis 47:12 "Joseph provided food for his father and his brothers in amounts appropriate to the number of their dependents, including the small children." Genesis 47:27 "The people of Israel settled in the region of Goshen in Egypt. There they acquired property, and were very fruitful and their population grew rapidly." Another scripture is found in Genesis 50:20 "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people." I also keep getting from the Lord about a distinction between His people and the people of the world. In Exodus 8:23 "I will make a clear distinction between My people and your people." I pray the Father will give you guidance into the steps that need to be taken for yourself and your family. Are you one that is being called with the Joseph mantle to be a leader to help the people? Be encouraged today to ask God what steps are needed for yourself, your family and your community. You can be the one God uses to 'add' an abundance of blessings for the people. Joseph was married to a woman named Esther de Berdt Reed. She was a civic leader in the time of the Revolutionary War Era. She was a part of the ladies association of Philidelphia to provide aid for George Washington's troops during the war. She apparently raised more than 7,000. According to this information online it would be about 30,000 dollars in our time. They used the funds to buy linen and to sew clothing for the American troops. (I will get into her name and what I found out about this wonderful story of what happened in that time in another post, 'Women Are Arising') Reed wanted to give the men gold or silver coins. This really stood out to me because God has been speaking about gold and silver a lot lately. But while I read further on what Reed was wanting to give, Washington refused and instead insisted on having each volunteer seamstress married or unmarried sew their names into the clothing.
